Recently, the 12th Shanghai College Students Computer Application Ability Competition has ended, our school 2017 physics (normal) undergraduate Guo Youmeng team's work 'Maticlab' in the Shanghai colleges and universities more than 370 entries, won the first prize. The project instructors are Zhu Qingting from the Public Computer Teaching Department of The School of Data Science and Engineering and Liu Jinmei from the Physics Experimental Teaching Center of our school.
This competition is organized by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and Shanghai University Student Computer Application Ability Competition Organizing Committee. It aims to further stimulate the enthusiasm of college students to learn computer knowledge and skills, improve the problem-solving ability, innovation ability and teamwork ability of college students, and then continue to enrich Extracurricular innovation practice education system for college students.
The award-winning team’s virtual simulation experiment project “Development of Simulation Experiments for Superfast Transmission in Optical Fibers Based on Brillouin Laser Oscillation” greatly reduced the reaction time of the experiment through formula calculation, with strong safety and good experimental efficiency, and was widely used by teachers and students both inside and outside the school Praise. The project relies on cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements and innovates a virtual experiment platform. It not only focuses on broadening the field and guiding students to understand the cutting-edge scientific research results, but also can take into account the effects of experimental teaching.
With the vigorous development of 'Internet + education', classroom teaching in colleges and universities has gradually shown a trend of networked, informatized and virtualized development. As an emerging teaching tool, virtual simulation experiment teaching is of great significance to reform the traditional experiment teaching model in colleges and universities. It is reported that the physics experiment teaching center team has been committed to building a virtual experiment platform with characteristics, advantages and good effects around the goal of comprehensively improving the effectiveness of virtual simulation experiment teaching. At present, the student team under the guidance of Liu Jinmei, Yin Yaling has achieved fruitful results in the development of autonomous virtual simulation experiments.
